100 Days of Joy: Day Twenty-Four

Today I sat at work, sat in the car to drive to a party 2 hours away, and am sitting to go home. Oh, and sat at the party. Basically guys, I am stir crazy!! And my feet hurt from the little walking I have done in these heels. But they’re so sparkly and pretty.

Today was my husband’s office Christmas party and in due fashion, I was his plus one. This was my second year going to this party with him, they didn’t invite spouses before, so it has been a lot of fun. The food is always spectacular, I get to put faces to the names I hear about every day and it’s an excuse to dress up and be excited about Christmas with my love.

Speaking of my love, he is amazing. Getting to just sit next to him makes me happy. We are two very different people with one crucial thing in common; we are crazy about each other and won’t get over it till our time on this earth is through.

Tomorrow I have off, but we have lots of things planned. Christmas shopping, of course, I’m going to fit some writing in somewhere and then I’ll go in to work long enough to donate blood to the Red Cross.

This will be my second time donating. The first time I did not do well at all, but there are people that need it and a major shortage on donors, so I will be doing my part.

I would encourage everyone, all blood types are needed and just one donation can save up to 3 lives. For me, that’s worth feeling a little dizzy and sick after, because a life is more important. Look for a place to donate near you!

Time to finish this trip home and get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a full and happy day!

I challenge each of you to find a way within your ability to give to someone who needs it. It will help them and fill you with joy.

XOXO,

Erika the Unicorn Queen
